Key Characteristics of Hercules 551

Hercules 551 is a medium range floor preparation machine introduces the innovative DCS System that puts in one machine the features of two different ones. Using the Hercules 551 in counter rotating mode it can perform as a grinding and polishing machine for concrete, marble and natural stone floors. Using the machine in DCS System mode the speed of the satellites is increased turning the Hercules 551 into a high performance industrial floor preparation machine. Suitable for fast removal of resins and glues, for fast exposing of the aggregates and for fast levelling of very uneven surfaces.

Double Cutting System (DCS)

The innovative DCS System that puts in one machine the features of two different ones. The counter rotating mode can perform as a grinding and polishing machine and the DCS System mode turn the machine into a high performance industrial floor preparation machine.

Medium Size Working Section

Working section 550mm with 3 number of 200mm tools. Smaller the tools, lesser the performance. Hercules 551 is among the best selling 3 headed grinding machine in the world.

Steel Gearbox

The old belt system was replaced by strong gear box with thermo-hardened steel gears for a longer life and omit breakage.

Auto levelling Planetary System.

The machine has a floating head auto levelling planetary system which make sure to produce flat floor all the time.

4HP Motor

The Hercules 551 has a powerful 4HP which makes the machine cut faster and deeper more efficiently.

Fast and Easy change of tools

The machine owns an one button system to rotate the planetary 90° to allow a fast and easy change of tools.

Less Noise

The expander range produces less and reduced noise during the work.

Variable Speed

Hercules 551 comes in 2 different versions. With the variable speed version, the operator can easily adjust the speed of tools to grind as he wishes.

Grinding and Floor Preparation with Hercules DCS System

For larger scale flooring projects in preparation and removal of epoxies etc. the Hercules line of grinders that we sell is well- suited for that purpose. The main reason is their world exclusive DCS System (Double Cutting System), which allows for the machine to rotate in a Satellite mode (heads fixed in position) to aggressively remove coatings and for fast removal of resins and glues, and then switch to planetary mode (heads spin all together) which allows for the finer finishing and smoothing of the floor.
