Expander is a series of powerful and reliable grinding and polishing machines which are available from 25HP and 4HP power grits and ideal for large to medium sized surfaces. Most of its range comes with the remote control function, which allows the user to control all the working functions such as, speed and direction of the machine, Speed of the planetary , Planetary turning directions, Control of grinding head pressure, Drift control and Emergency safety stop.

Remote Control and Autopilot Function

Klindex has developed a new and exclusive technology of remote automatic control for grinding and polishing machines. With this amazing system called “Auto Pilot”, Klindex machines can grind on their own the entire area moving forward, turning and coming back, crossing the grinding tracks leaving no untreated parts. Without any interruption, it is also possible to modify all the variables of the machine with a comfortable, handy and intuitive remote control. The auto pilot kit is an optional available only on request.

SUPER FLAT FLOOR with Rigid head planetary system

The Expander range of floor grinders to give the ultimate FLAT FLOOR. They range have a fixed planetary gear driven head that works to grind all flooring surfaces flat. The Expander 1000 with its one meter planetary six head design along with it’s 1.35 tonne weight delivers the ultimate flat floor.

Many machines available on the market are designed with a floating grinding head. The design allows the machine to follow the contours of the floor and can at times leave a ‘wavy’ appearance to the floor. The combination of the floating head and lighter machine weight reduces the grinding ability of the machine to produce perfectly flat floors.

Adjustable working pressure feature allow the operator to manually adjust the working pressure of the planetary head. It improves the grinding production rate and also assures a flatter result to the floor as the grinding heads and working area is adjusted to be as level as possible.
The spring attachments force the weight of the chassis onto the working area allowing the machine to have some slight movement during the grinding work, but always focusing the downward grinding pressure.

Achieving flat floors with Klindex Expander

Features & Capabilities

Selector to block the door of the inverter

This device avoids the door from being opened before “switching off” the “electric power”. Check if the competitors machine has this device.

Safety device to monitor emergency circuit

This device automatically shuts off the machine if some electric problem happens avoiding any injuries. Expander uses the right and approved electrical components including oversized wire.

Remote Control

If the operator leaves the Remote control, the machine will stop working and it rejects use from any other person. All automatic movements are under control by “dead man safety device”.

Special safety emergency button

When this special emergency button is pushed the motor is immediately turned off and all the “moving parts” are immediately shuts down, avoiding any injuries to the operator.

Re-start safety system

The re-start after any stop cannot happen casually. If any one accidentally connects the power, the machine doesn’t start again. The operator has to follow all instructions correctly.

Working Section

Working section 450mm to 1000mm with 3 tools diameter 200-240mm. Many machine has the same working area but the tools are smaller. Smaller the tools, lesser the performance.

Variable speed head that adjusts

Variable speed adjustable head allows the operator to adjust the working speed at any given moment depends on the floor type or condition ranging from 300 rpm to 1300 rpm.

Third wheel

Third front wheel makes the machine easy to transportation and handle. It allows to regulate the working pressure and inclination on the planetary head which is useful when working on uneven floors.

Planetary Head

Planetary head is 100% tempered metal and gear driven. The main disc and the satellites always run, allowing the machine to work aggressively with high performance to cut faster and deeper.

Water tank with 46L capacity

The tank is very important for working wet. When working dry the diamond doesn’t grip and skates on the surface of the floor. Many competitor machines does not have this option.

Steel Priority

Steel frame painted with metallic varnish. Aluminium carter covering the Planetary. The metal covering protects the diamond tools and allows it to work very close to the wall.

Inverter with Display for fast diagnostics

The digital display allows the operator to diagnose what is happening with the machine without opening the Inverter door where most of the competitor machines doesn’t have this option.

Adjustable working head pressure

The expander series owns a new technology for better grinding. The pressure is adjusted by an “Electronic device”, where in many competitor machines the manual weights have to be added.

Handle

Adjustable position of the handle for a comfortable working position. It also can be reversed to allow the operator to drive the machine from in front and not only from the rear.

Effective weight distribution

The motor placed directly over the top of the planetario with three well balanced heads for perfect balance and highest grinding pressure available (this balance allows it to work on any surface).

Rigid Head

The planetario doesn’t focus weight and pressure of the heads on the chassis to create a ‘floating head’ which makes the floor wavy. It uses a rigid system to ensuring flattest possible floor.

No Belts, only steel gears

Gears mean lower operating costs than competitors (belt changes are very expensive). Belts do not transfer torque as effectively as gears (less grinding pressure available).

Dust control optimized

Expanders own vacuum ports for working dry and Free of Dust.

Splash guard

Expanders comes with a strong perimetral neoprene splash guard for wet use.

Easy maintenance

The machines are very easy to maintain. Simply clean and grease it after every job.
